Walk/Bike is an all volunteer group dedicated to making cities a safer and more enjoyable place to walk and bike everyday, everywhere. Starting in San Rafael, CA, Walk/Bike is a local team for the larger parent organization, Marin County Bicycle Coalition, aimed at energizing communities to become involved in the discussion of bike/pedestrian planning. Through local team meetings and community events, Walk/Bike brings advocacy to a personal level.

Drawing inspiration from road signage, the Walk/Bike identity combines transportation visual language with a high contrast colors to attract attention. The primary green, affectionately nicknames Kermit Green, is the standard green for on road bike paths further reinforcing the connection to the streets.

Iconography plays an important role in the visual language. In an effort to expand the conception of cyclists, cargo bikes and smaller riders have been added to the mix. The roads are no longer just for spandex weekend warriors or the gritty bike commuter.
